Program Overview
The Nkuliso Agri-Retail Hub Program is a 12-month enterprise development journey that blends education, fieldwork, and real business
experience to prepare participants for entrepreneurship and operation of their Agri-Retail businesses.
Participants will:
- Learn how to start, operate, and grow a profitable Agri-Retail business.
- Participate in homework-based learning, fieldwork, and community marketing and sales practicals – not just classroom training.
- Work in teams to register and build real co-operatives or companies.
- Market real brands and sell real products and services during practicals to gain hands-on business experience.
- Qualify for support and sponsorship to receive a Containerized Retail Yard with stock at the end of the program.
This is a results-based program – meaning the more a participant applies themselves and engages in the practicals, the more they gain real entrepreneurial results and opportunities.
Nature of the Program
It is important to note that:
- This is a private enterprise and entrepreneurship development program – not a SETA-accredited training course.
- Our focus is on real business creation, not classroom qualifications.
- Participants learn by doing, not just by attending.
- Each participant or group is guided step-by-step to start and operate a real business that will continue after the program ends.
- The program aims for participants to exit with a functional business, not a certificate of participation or completion only.
This approach ensures tangible results, helping participants move from being “learners” to being active business owners in the Agri-Retail sector.

Who can Join
This opportunity is open to:
- Youth, Men and Women Entrepreneurs
- Students and Graduates (including Grade 12 learners)
- Small business owners and start-ups
- Community members and co-operatives
- Farmers and Agro-Processors
- Individuals passionate about agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, or enterprise
However, note that even if you have a business that is registered, it is a mandatory requirement to contribute towards a new business (Register with a team of 10 participants.)
All business registration and compliance costs (contributions) by the team must be paid to Nkuliso Brands (Pty) Ltd, who will handle all business registrations and compliance administration processes.
Basic Requirements:
Only South African citizens can join and participate.
- There is no Joining Fee.
- Anyone from 18 years up to 55 years can join us.
- Become part of a team of 10 participants (entrepreneurs) who will be registered into a new co-operative business formation by Nkuliso Brands.
- Willingness to work, learn, and participate in field activities
- Access to a smartphone for communication and coordination
- Commitment to teamwork and community-based projects
